In 2020, everybody has had to deal with big changes in how things are done. It has been no different for my piano studio: for the past six months, I have conducted all piano lessons and classes online via Zoom.  I wasn’t sure how this would go–I had taught on Zoom (and Skype before that) for many years,but not quite on this scale.  

I have been happily surprised!  In fact, it has been a complete thrill for me to continue helping my students by bringing music into their lives during this unique time. I have especially enjoyed:

•  hanging out with students during weekly online drop-in sessions
•  conducting online group-playing classes, where students actually play together online!
•  having class recording projects for students  (I’ve had three group-playing classes do this, and they’ve loved it!)
•  seeing students continue to make progress at the piano and be excited about their lessons
